ROGNAN konfirmasjon
During these past days we have travelled up to Rognan in Saltdal,Norway.
We had the deep joy of attending the konfirmasjon of our nephew Henrik, who
really is a fantastic young guy. So he was the main reason that we could all come together as a family.

Snowing......in May? So there I am reading the online Swedish newspaper in English and I'm thinking...well it's up North I suppose it's understandable.

and that's the report above.... and this is what's happening whilst I am reading it at 10-05 am today. It's started snowing here...massive big flakes. In fact a real snowstorm!

It won't stick (it's +5C) but still...... isn't nature amazing?

The general consensus appears to be that the object is a buoy used for supporting the 'pens' at a local fish farm (the same one where 16 ton of fish escaped about 15 years ago,so you can guess what's in the lake now)

and this is the other side of the lake in a picture taken without zoom standing within 1 metre of the picture shown below

so this gives you a better idea of how big the 'object' is

This came floating down Vestre Silen lake yesterday. The picture is taken from our home on the opposite side of the lake and is at mximum zoom, so this 'thing' is quite large - at the very least 1 metre diameter.
What is it? A weather balloon? A light monster bulb?
