SNOWFLAKE NUMBERS
" It's been calculated that in a volume of snow two feet square by ten inches deep there are
roughly one million flakes.
Multiply that by the millions of square miles that are covered by snow each year (nearly one
fourth of the earth's land surface), and then multiply that by the billions of winters that have
occurred since the dawn of time, and it's obvious we're talking unimaginable googols of
flakes. Some of these are surely repeats.

On the other hand, a single snow crystal contains perhaps 100 million molecules, which
can be arranged in a gigajillion different ways".

Hmmm..it's my weekend for encountering the name Lundqvist :)
First I have watched a charming Swedish film (though without english
subtitles so occasionally I was a little lost in the dialogue) called
Kim Novak badade aldrig i Geneserets Sjo - which I think means
Kim Novak never bathed in Geneseret lake. Amongst many fine actors
in this film was an Anton Lundqvist. Pretty good actor.

Henrik Lundqvist was the Swedish Ice Hockey team's goalie
and, as I understand it, was instrumental in helping the
Swedish team to collect the Gold medal at Turin.
Both these 'exposures to Swedish life' have been most enjoyable
experiences :):)

My thanks to STEFAN at http://www.birds.se for his speedy help in confirmation.
Incidentally, http://www.birds.se is a fantastic website resource..in 10 different
